What if the weather is bad?
We will cancel any tour if it is unsafe and offer you the option of a full refund or to transfer to another day.
Should I bring a camera?
Don’t risk it as your guide will document your paddling adventure and these photos are offered to you free of charge. If you wish to bring a camera you do so at your own risk.
What else should I bring?
A sun hat and flip-flops (jandals) or water shoes
Will I get wet?
Yes, you will get wet as this is a water based activity. Most likely you will only get your feet wet getting in and out of the kayak, but water guns are offered to all customers to use as motivation so be prepared.
What should I wear?
- In the warmer months of November – March bathers or shorts and a t-shirt are perfect with flip-flops (jandals) or water shoes
- In the winter months, shorts and a t-shirt and just add another layer and an outer shell and flip-flops (jandals) or water shoes.
I am worried about tipping over and being in the kayak upside-down
Our kayaks are extremely stable and we do not put skirts on our kayaks so if you did go over will just fall out into the water and you buoyancy device will keep you afloat. Our trained guides will right the kayak and get you back in without any hassle. Capsizes are very rare and people normally end up in the water if they choose to get out for a swim or fall when standing up in their kayak and neither is compulsory but is definitely fun to watch.
